Hostess is offering banana creme filling in its Twinkies, as a regular feature, in retail stores nationwide. What's not to like about that? I know, I know ... but the key to Twinkie joy is to NOT read the ingredient list.
The banana flavor, which was replaced with vanilla creme following a banana shortage in the 1940s, had only been available during special limited time offers.
