I'm a communication, marketing and innovation/collaboration specialist, passionate about what I call the intersection of social media and open innovation ... how conversation (social media) leads to business innovation and collaboration.

I have a full time gig with L-3 Communications, working with wonderful folks in the U.S. Army as Online Community Manager of Army.mil, the most visited military website in the world (some 4 million unique visits monthly). I help public affairs officers use a content managment system to share great Army-related stories with the public. I consider myself very fortunate.

My consultancy, Brick and Click, focuses on helping Business, Government and Media integrate and improve offline/online efforts and strategy. I'm affiliated with Intridea (business and social collaboration apps), and I specialize in Communication, Social Media/Online Marketing and Collaboration/Open Innovation solutions: (consumer/employee feedback/ideas, online SuggestionBoxes, Crowdsourcing, Social Media Marketing, E-mail Newsletters, Blogging, and various 'people connecting' solutions).

My wife is a Children's Picture Book author (Susan Crites: I Love You More Than Rainbows was published in 2008 by Thomas Nelson). Her book is good medicine for children and adults.
